A light of hope in a small storm....

[Stardust Beauty + White storm]

Stardust Beauty made her way in looking for shelter from the harsh rain. she ducked into a cave and plonked onto the bed of grass. she hoped Elorado would come. her heart raced. after 2 hours of pushing a small foal slid out of her body. she licked it and noticed its breathing rate was wrong. she rubbed its chest and blew into its nose. she ruffled it up and it flicked its hoof up slightly. she knew it was damaged; it had a dent in its side. she pushed it toward her to make it feed.

The little colt struggeld up to his mother, Thunder outside worrying him slightly.

[glow=red,2,300]Born to the storms[/glow]she sayed sighing licking its small head knowing Sky was gonna beg for mercy. [glow=red,2,300]There's only a small light of hope.[/glow]she said thinking deeply: mabye he would be named Light of hope, or Stormy hope, she wasn't sure.

Eyes watched from the bushes. He thought.

She screamed as pain lashed at her side.

He slowly made his way up to her and knelt down [glow=black,2,300]Mum, you've had a foal! What can i do? Sandy has just gave birth to a small colt; Red Fury. Please are you ok?[/glow]

She groaned, gritting her teeth. [glow=red,2,300]ge..t....E...e...Eldorado.....[/glow]she croaked. She screamed again as a pain hit her side again.

Storm nodded and gallopped away.

The cracking of a twig beneath his hoof betrayed him. He was still unsure; he had had it beaten into him to never near a foaling mare, and even though she'd birthed he was cautious.
"Don't worry, Star, you can sleep now, I'm here. Shhh..." he whispered. He watched the colt curiously. It seemed to stare at him, and it made him uncomfortable.
"What will you name him? Something wild and strong, I hope. He deserves it, born into the world like this, in the worst of storms and the worst of days." he still hadn't gotten over Sky's rape.

Star whinnied, softly. [glow=red,2,300]Tha....thank-you for coming[/glow]she croaked. She thought about the name...

The colt looked at the stallion scarcly. he tumbled off his mothers side, the dent showing up.

Star squinted her eyes seeing broken ribs in the colts side. she screeched and looked up at Eldorado. She squeled as a harsh pain filled her again.

He shifted to his fathers feet and fell asleep by his feet knowing there was another foal to come.....

Eldorado nudged the foal just out of sight. He knew that Star had to be alone to birth, but he was close by, ready to help her.

She layed her head down as the foal had a break. she slept lightly with her nuzzle in reach of the tiny colt.

He was fast asleep two, he was very very small but quite healthy. he was as bout as big as a small dog.

"I'm here for you, Star. I love you."

After two hours Star woke up. She glanced about and smiled seeing the colt sleeping by Eldorado. He hadn't drank much. She nuzzled him.

He stirred and lifted his head wearily at Star.

She pushed him toward her.

He shook and began drinking.

Star layed back down for half an hour. Soon she felt a kick in her side again. She pushed the colt toward Eldorado.
"Eldorado, if you can't stay please take him. I would look after him its just, i have a bad feeling about this next birth. He's had over 3 hours with me and he will be fine, as long as you keep him warm. He just had a half hour drink so he should be fine for a while. Mabye he wants to spend some time with Sandy or Summers foal" she winced as her passage opened. She breathed hard.

[Cascade & Eldorado]

"I love you" he told her once more, and herded the little colt out. He promised her he would be back in one hour to see how she was.

She smiled [glow=black,2,300]I love you too![/glow]she replied only managing a small whisper.

He looked back at Stardust and hung his head, he looked at his dad and skipped forth still a little bit wobbly on his bony legs. A little whinny escaped his small lips as snow fell on his nose.

Star lay and shivered. She was scared sky would come. The cold winds blew her about from rock to rock. She clambered up deciding to venture up the mountain a bit to find a cave she knew was there. She slipped up it and fell a couple of times. She left a firm scent and stood hard into the snow to leave Eldorado a trail. When she reached near the top she curved round as if to go down the other side. She glided across the snow into a small cave leaving no trail, hoping nobody but Eldorado would realise her plan. She layed down on the grass bed and began to breathe less normally again. After 1 hour and a half of never-ending pushing she felt a foal near her opening. It slid out her and layed still on the ground. Star licked it using the same method as before. It was cold. Star brought it toward her noticing her strange colouring. The filly was light black with flecks of white, its legs got lighter (bay) toward her hooves.

The very little filly snorted as it began to breath.

Star brought the filly to drink.

It smelt the milk but wasn't strong enough to suck and move properly.

Another half hour passed and the filly was drinking....just. She thought of her name even though she wasn't sure it would live. [glow=red,2,300]Winter Orchid[/glow]She finally said, hoping it would be ok with Eldorado.

"Perfect" said Eldorado. He had followed her trail up the mountain after finding her gone. The colt came after him.
"Winter Orchid. I like it. In fact, Star, I love it! We just need a name for this guy now." he said indicating the colt. He secretly wondered over the filly's colouring; he knew an old legend regarding that same rare colouring. But it wouldn't do to worry Star.......

she smiled but breathed hard well exhausted. [glow=red,2,300]Its so good to see you[/glow]she said quietly before nuzzling Winter/Orchid

(I don't mind playing the colt if you want....playing a filly would be a little uncomfortable you know?....you can ask if someone else wouls rather play one if you want. I'd call her Orchid for short, suits her better)

((ok i understand, but i do play stallions aswell you know! I might play Orchid on a different file or we could put both the foals on the same account and we both have the access to it but you only play one foal, if you get me. so i would play Orchid and you would play the colt? what d'you think?))

(some time later) Star heaved herself up as Orchis began walking around bored stiff.
[glow=red,2,300]Mabye we should go home[/glow]She said nuzzling Eldorado.

"Are you sure you and the foals are up to it?" he asked concernedly. He knew the colt would, but the filly was the weaker of the two, aswell as the younger. His concern was not just for his offspring, but for his mate also.
"Have you thought of a name for the little guy yet?" he asked. He was curious; he was his first son and heir.

She did feel a bit tired. [glow=red,2,300]I eh, well im kinda tired but i just wanna get home. Is it busy down there at the moment?[/glow]

"Its a tad busy, you know me, Mr Popular.......But hey, I'll scare em away if I have to. What about the colt?? You're his mum, you have first say in the matter."

she smiled [glow=red,2,300]Well mr popular who is there?[/glow]She said after realising Orchid had talkin a small tumble onto her back. Star rushed over and pushed her up. She took her to Eldorado.

Winter Orchid wobbled on her legs feeling rather sick and dizzy. She layed down and looked at Eldorado. A smile formed onto her sweet face. [glow=yellow]Da.....ddy...Daddy[/glow]


Star frowned, but soon smiled again. Orchid's first smile, and first word.

Eldorado grinned at her. "Hiya, honey. Yeah, thats right. I'm Daddy." he nudged her playfully, but slightly too hard, and she wobbled again. The colt was feeling left out, and barged in beside them, knocking his sister sprawling.

She tumbled again, her stomach roaring. Her legs went different directions as she ran behind her mum cursing her evil twin. She smiled at Daddy blowing a kiss.

[glow=red,2,300]This is Orchid, your sister twin, she's only little so dont hurt her![/glow]Star growled after nipping him as a warning on his rump, gently but hard enough.
